IISM launches pathbreaking India’s first-ever book on Sports Management

India’s leading sports management college, International Institute of Sports Management (IISM) on Wednesday launched India’s first-ever book on Sports Management in the country as part of a series that will aim to enrich students with industry knowledge.

The book titled ‘Goats Must Be Crazy’ authored by Vishnu Govind, a noted Sports Management professional, was launched on Wednesday. The book has been published under the banner of Popular Prakashan is second in a series of books being launched by IISM as part a knowledge series. The book was launched at the hands of former India bowler and current bowling coach Paras Mhambrey, alongside noted table tennis player Kamlesh Mehta and esteemed sports writer Ayaz Memon.

The first book in the series, ‘Business of Sports: The Winning Formula for Success’, authored by Mr Vinit Karnik, Head – Sports, Esports & Entertainment at GroupM South Asia, was released in June 2022. The second book in the series was a book on ‘Sports Psychology’ by noted sports psychologist Mugdha Bavare which was released in March 2024.

IISM, founded by former India international cricketer Nilesh Kulkarni, has been a pioneer in Sports Management Studies for about 12 years.
