Marnie, a psychological thriller based on a novel by Winston Graham will take place on 9th January 2019 at Godrej Dance Theatre, National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA). The screening will feature the works of Robert Spano, Michael Mayer, Isabel Leonard and many more. Inspired by Winston Graham’s novel, Alfred Hitchcock’s suspenseful thriller will premiere at the U.S Met this season.
Set in England, the story talks about a young woman who makes her way through life by embezzling from her employers, before she moves on and changes her identity. When her current employer, Mark Rutland, blackmails her into a loveless marriage, Marnie is left with no choice but to confront the hidden trauma from her past. The production creates a fast-moving, cinematic world for this exhilarating story of denial and deceit.
