Zee Zest brings ‘The Baker’s Table’ with Tejasvi Chandela

Zee Zest introduces an exciting baking show- The Baker’s Table, anchored by Tejasvi Chandela. Offering easy-breezy hacks and recipes of scrumptious bread, cakes, biscuits and beyond, this show is high on energy and stress-busting.

Pandemic and lockdown turned many homebound citizens to relieve stress through baking. It’s been more than just a trend as we witnessed a whopping 30 million posts on the hashtag baking and 3.7 million on #homebaking. The baking cake was just a way to stay busy for few, and for others, it was a means to pursue a long-forgotten passion and then there were some who did baking simply because it was therapeutic! Freshly baked cinnamon rolls or nankhatai or jimjam biscuits are some of the recipes evoking nostalgia and who can resist the aroma of these, right?

With the key takeaway being experimenting with newer flavours and using whatever is available in the kitchen readily without any fancy equipment, each episode of The Baker’s Table has a distinct theme and it will premiere on 24th February. Viewers will be able to Bake Like a Boss eventually, as Tejasvi will focus more on techniques and simplifying each process catering to novices and whizzes alike. There will be surprise visitors sharing their personal trysts with bakes and cakes in the show in each episode. There might be a popular YouTube singer, a Television Heartthrob, Leading Bollywood Celebrity and Tejasvi’s own family who have been instrumental support in her journey.

Tejasvi graduated with a degree in Business Management from London and she hails from the Royal family of Bilaspur. Tejasvi soon realised that her passion lies in the culinary arts and went to the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu, Paris to pursue her dream. She did her masters in chocolate making with a specialisation in French pastry techniques at Escuela de Pastelería del Gremio de Barcelona.

Thrilled to showcase her passion and enthusiasm through The Baker’s Table, Tejasvi Chandela said, “The Baker’s Table is a juxtaposition of traditional flavours created with international techniques. I’m elated to share my experiments from my work and travels across the world. The audience will get a chance to learn about French and global skills right from their home kitchen. The show will have recipes crafted with a myriad of artisanal, sugar-free, organic and whole-grain ingredients. One can experience just how easy and accessible baking is in addition to being a total stress buster!”

Combined with world-class finesse, The Baker’s Table presents delightful dishes with Indian ingredients and contrasting flavours. Tejasvi has inherited various recipes from many generations of her family that the audiences will have access to through this show. Her creative interpretation of a Calzone, Naanzo is spicy samosa filings and you can have a look at that. Not only that, delicious Rabdi Tres Leches Cake, Rose and Gulkand Macarons, Kheer Crème Brule, Masala Focaccia and Pizookie recipes are also waiting for you. Also, the Madras Filter Coffee Cake in a new avatar is available.
