Healthium Medtech Limited, a global medical devices company, today announced the strategic rebranding of its dedicated arthroscopy business from SIRONIX Arthroscopy to ‘SIRONIX Orthopedics’, marking the next phase in its growth and expansion across the extended orthopedic landscape. The new identity reflects SIRONIX’s ambition to address a wider range of specialty orthopedic care while building on its established expertise in arthroscopy and sports medicine.
Since its inception, SIRONIX has enabled surgeons with innovative arthroscopy solutions and established a strong presence in sports medicine through its surgeon partnerships and solutions. It was the first Indian company to receive EU-MDR certification for an arthroscopy portfolio, a milestone that underscores its regulatory and product development capabilities. SIRONIX also holds US FDA 510(k) clearances, alongside 80+ patents across India and the USA.
The global orthopedic device market is experiencing strong growth and is projected to reach USD 68 billion by 2030[1]. With this momentum, the rebranding of SIRONIX reflects the strategic vision to strengthen its market presence and capitalize on emerging growth opportunities.
Building on this foundation, SIRONIX Orthopedics will support surgeons across the full continuum of orthopedic care, from preserving joints to restoring them, and from advanced implants to intelligent surgical technologies. The new portfolio structure will bring greater focus to its offerings while enabling SIRONIX Orthopedics to address a wider range of orthopedic needs.
Under the new identity, the portfolio will introduce four new strategic product categories:
- SIRONIX SPORTSMED – continuing its leadership on sports medicine.
- SIRONIX REGEN – focusing on solutions supporting tissue regeneration and joint preservation.
- SIRONIX RECON – addressing joint reconstruction and restoration of mobility.
- SIRONIX TECH – bringing technology-led solutions focused on surgical planning, navigation and advanced surgical capabilities.
Commenting on the repositioning, Gaurav Goel, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Healthium Medtech Limited, said, “SIRONIX has built a strong foundation in arthroscopy and sports medicine, establishing a meaningful presence in the orthopedic space. As the market evolves, we see an opportunity to build on this foundation and participate more meaningfully across the broader orthopedic landscape. The transition to SIRONIX Orthopedics reflects that ambition and marks an important step in the evolution of the business. It positions us to pursue new opportunities, strengthen our presence across orthopedics and build a business that is equipped for the next phase of growth.”
Anoop Penupolu, Global SBU Head – SIRONIX, said, “SIRONIX has grown significantly from its roots in arthroscopy and sports medicine, and this next phase is about giving that growth a clearer structure. SIRONIX Orthopedics brings together four specialised pillars, each with a distinct role across orthopedic care, from sports medicine and joint preservation to reconstruction and technology-enabled surgery. This structure will allow us to build greater depth within each area while creating a more connected portfolio. As we embark on this new chapter, our focus will be on strengthening each category and building SIRONIX Orthopedics into a portfolio that reflects the changing needs of modern orthopedic practice.”
As orthopedic care continues to evolve, SIRONIX Orthopedics will continue to invest in strengthening its expertise and developing solutions that can contribute to better surgical outcomes and patient recovery.
