Tinychef strengthens its management team and announces GM and CMO

Tinychef is celebrated chef Sanjeev Kapoor’s culinary AI platform

A voice-first culinary AI app, Tinychef is co-founded by celebrated chef Sanjeev Kapoor and Bahubali Shete. The brand is strengthening its management team and has announced the appointment of two new members to its core team. Saakshi Jain joins the team as CMO and will now look at Global Marketing while Rakesh Edavalath joins the team as GM and will take care of the overall app & smart speaker product. This announcement follows the recent development of Tinychef acquiring Zelish. Rakesh and Saakshi were Co-Founders of Zelish.

Saakshi Jain will look at the marketing, branding, and growth for Tinychef in its Indian, US & Canadian markets, in her new role. She will also be helming the responsibility for all communication to its external and internal stakeholders.

Rakesh will be responsible for building & developing the product on both App & Smart Speaker devices, in his new role at Tinychef.

Saakshi Jain was the co-founder of Zelish which has recently been acquired by Tinychef. Saakshi has led marketing functions at Happay, 91springboard, and MyGate, prior to co-founding Zelish. She had also managed multi-million-dollar budgets, led teams, and advised start-up founders and CEOs to help them navigate the space of consumer-focused marketing, amongst others.

Rakesh Edavalath co-founded Zelish along with Saakshi Jain & Arpit Joseph. Rakesh worked for three different start-ups at different stages, building and managing multiple products and handling partnerships such MyGate and WayOL, prior to Zelish. Rakesh has also worked with Goldman Sachs as the Vice president – Program Management.

Tinychef offers everything from 1-click grocery shopping and automatic meal planning to voice-guided cooking and works in sync with connected appliances. It also converts recipe content into branded conversations on Google Home smart speakers and Amazon Alexa.
