Mythik, a tech-first global entertainment company with a vision to create the ‘Disney from the East’, announced its product and technology leadership with three marquee appointments: Sachin Thapliyal as Founding Member & Chief Product Officer, Kamalmeet Singh as Chief Technology Officer, and Nitin Pakhare as Head of Product Design.
With more than two decades of experience each, the trio brings world-class expertise in building and scaling transformative consumer-tech platforms across various aspects of entertainment, such as video, audio and news, including multiple platforms with over 100 million Monthly Active Users (MAUs). In their respective roles, they will lead the advancement of Mythik’s product and technology strategy, driving innovation at scale and ensuring a seamless integration of creativity and technology at the core of Mythik’s offerings. They will also deliver cutting-edge tech solutions to bring the richness of Eastern mythology, history, and folktales to global audiences in compelling and novel ways.
Sachin Thapliyal – Founding Member & Chief Product Officer
- Former Head of Product at JioSaavn, India’s leading music streaming platform, where he scaled the platform to over 100 million MAUs;
- Led product development for Jio TV+, creating a hyper-personalised entertainment offering across multiple streaming partners;
- Head of Product at MX Player (now Amazon MX Player), one of India’s largest OTT and entertainment super-apps with 175 million MAUs;
- VP, Product Management at PayU, where he launched enhanced credit limits on LazyPay, enabling personal loans up to ₹1 lakh through a fully digital process;
- GM, Product Management at Paytm, overseeing marketplace seller operations.
Kamalmeet Singh – Chief Technology Officer
- Former Principal Architect at Walmart, demonstrating strong technical leadership and pioneering GenAI-based productivity solutions at a global scale;
- Served as Senior Architect at Microsoft, contributing to enterprise-grade technology and cloud-architecture initiatives;
- Brings deep expertise in Java/J2EE, Solution Design, Cloud Architecture, and Data Science, and is the author of several large-scale architecture-design books;
- Began his career as Tech Lead at Infosys, gaining extensive experience in large-scale technology delivery and team leadership.
Nitin Pakhare – Head of Product Design
- Former Design Director at Viacom18 – JioCinema (now JioHotstar), where he led design for consumption experiences with a focus on player features and user engagement;
- Head of Product Design at MX Player, driving seamless collaboration between design and product teams across India and China;
- Lead Designer at Times Internet, where he built the user experience for the subscription platform Times Prime from inception;
- Lead Visual Designer at Yahoo Labs, shaping the visual experience for the global redesign of Yahoo Image and Video Search.
